I Didn’t Sign Up For This!

One of the main reasons I decided to move to California – the weather! However, it’s been way too cold here in Sunnyvale, CA. Yesterday’s temperature hit a low of 31° degrees which is only 6°  warmer than the record low (25°) in this area.

Most of you, well, those of you who do not live in CA are probably wondering why on earth I think it’s so cold. It’s been a year and a half since I moved here from NYC, where yesterday’s low was actually a bit warmer (34°…only difference is that NYC has experienced temperatures as low as 4° this time of year), and I must say that I have become a coward when it comes to the weather. While last year I used to point and laugh when my colleagues came into the office with winter coats on when it was 50° outside, I now find myself doing the same exact thing.

To keep warm during these cold days, I have stocked up on some key winter items. Here are my must have essentials for winter:

1.  Cashmere Gloves – my favs at the moment are

8.  Wool Newsboy Cap to keep hair in check and to warm the head

9. Warm boots for trekking in the snow – Uggs are my favorites for weekends and walking the dog

10. Last but not least,  Sweaters for furry friends – don’t forget to keep your pet warm this winter!

Now all you need is a sled and some skis!
